It’s been a long while since I’ve last updated this blog. Many things have happened in Tortuga since March…villagers have come and gone, holidays have been celebrated, and Gulliver has even come through Tortuga again (and amazingly enough, I shot him down a second time!).
One of the most exciting things to happen was, I completed my fish collection. I was so happy when I caught that final fish…

Currently, Tortuga is being plagued by mushrooms of all sorts. I find new ones everyday and some of them turn out to be furniture! I am only one piece away from having the complete mush set.

After yesterday’s excitement, today brought yet another visitor to Tortuga: a new villager!

Well, as you know, yesterday I shot Gulliver’s spaceship with my trusty slingshot. A bit later, I found a part to his spaceship lying behind Bluebear’s house. All there was to do was wait.
This morning I ran down to the beach in search of the crashed spaceship. I found it, and an unconscious Gulliver, on the eastern side of the beach.
I will let all the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Today was a HUGE day in Tortuga. But first, a cute little anecdote from the Bluebear Files. (I could probably have a whole blog devoted to everyone’s favorite…er…blue bear. lol)
Will had paid off his first mortgage quite a few weeks ago, a fact which seems to have eluded Bluebear until just today. When she noticed that Will’s house appeared to be getting bigger, she was not shy to voice her concerns to me.

Now for the big news. I was standing outside Nook’s shop when I heard a faint “whirring” noise. This was no bug I was hearing…it was Gulliver’s spaceship! I reached in my pockets and pulled out…my net! No, that’s not what I need!
I cycled to my next tool…my shovel! No, no, no!
Next: watering can! ARGH!!
Next: fishing pole! Gosh darn it…
Next: SLINGSHOT! :sigh: Finally!
I ran from east to west, but the sound had disappeared. Thinking I had missed him, I pocketed the slingshot and continued down toward the Able Sisters’ shop when suddenly…there was that noise again! I reached into my pockets and pulled out…my net! NOT AGAIN! And now I saw the spaceship zooming across the sky. This time the slingshot was only the 2nd tool I pulled out. With slingshot in hand, and paying no mind to the grass or any flowers that may have been in my path, I ran like the wind until I had run out in front of the spaceship.
I stopped and aimed my slingshot…
AND HIT GULLIVER’S SPACESHIP!!!
It was such an intense moment, I didn’t take any pictures. But many pictures will be taken tomorrow.

Today was such an eventful day. I found Bluebear wandering near the museum and heard the tell-tale “boing boing” of fleas before I even saw them hopping off of her head. Being the super-nice neighbor that I am, I swung my net and got the fleas off of her. The poor dear was distressed by the fact that she would have fleas.

As I made my way to Nook’s to sell the disgusting fleas, I found the ever-elusive ladybug, a bug which I had succeeded in scaring away countless times before. With net in hand, I crept up to the flower and…

FINALLY! ![]()
In sad news, Mallary had packed up all of her belongings. Though I have to say, she is the most organized packer I’ve come across in the world of Animal Crossing.

Later that day, I brought Bluebear the yellow butterfly she had been asking for. She was quite happy to receive it and seemed to have forgotten her flea ordeal from earlier.

Ariel also appeared today and visited with Puck. It seems he was busy pondering a great question of life:

What a great day! Tortuga maintained its perfect status for 15 days, and Pelly had an awesome surprise waiting for me at Town Hall.

It was a rainy day, but that didn’t get Melba down.
She’s always so positive! ![]()
Moe had a fun idea for a rainy day activity, but I wasn’t quite sure what he wanted me to do…

I love my neighbors. <3

A new month, a new season…and so many new bugs about! The grass is green and…and…is that a rainstorm?!
I love this time of year. ![]()

In addition to the honeybee, I also caught a tiger butterfly. I caught a yellow butterfly and common butterfly also, but I had previously caught those at a friend’s town a while back. When I donated the honeybee to Blathers, he was none to happy to see the pest.

I’m convinced Blathers and I are kindred spirits. We feel exactly the same way about bugs. ![]()
And finally, I took a trip to the city and received Tortuga’s March charm. This one will ward off bees found in the trees for all of Tortuga’s visitors.

Ever since the wonder that is Festivale passed, things have been quiet around Tortuga. The only newsworthy item to report is that Tortuga has a new resident: Puck!

Monday was Festivale, the day a fabulous peacock named Pavé visits and brings his smooth moves. He is now my favorite special character, for his dance moves alone. I mean, look at him!

How can you deny his fabulousness?! lol
If only I could be as suave as he…

All of my villagers were swept up in the festivities of the day. They were all about singing, dancing, and going crazy.

Many games were played, and many duplicate items were received from Pavé. The only item he never gave me was the Pavé end table.
Oh well, there’s always next year…
Here are some of the highlights from the Festivale games.

In addition to the festivities of Festivale, Moe decided to give me a new nickname. If I ever start a magic act, I know what to call myself.

Melba asked for a new catchphrase. She sounds like a sweet new car to me! lol

Bluebear’s finances are pretty tough this month, so she is apparently in need of a shopping bodyguard to protect her from any bargain sales Nook may be offering.

Later, I found Bluebear by the river and the fact that she has apparently seen my closet in real life kinda freaks me out.

A couple days ago I was wandering around town, planting flowers, when I came across a sudden surprise…

I have PTS!!
I ran to Town Hall, where Pelly confirmed the wonderful news. Now only 15 more days and I will get the golden watering can.
I paid a final visit to Ruby, who had finished packing all of her belongings. She will be missed around Tortuga.

Bluebear decided I needed a new nickname, “Sweet-R.” When I told her I liked it, she couldn’t help but celebrate her awesome nickname-giving skills.

Today I made a trip to the city and purchased the caterpiller tee from GracieGrace’s shop. I decided I’d stop by the Marquee to see what emotions were being presented and was treated to my first show starring Master Frillard!

I received the new emotion “sleepiness.”
All of Tortuga is abuzz about the Flea Market, but I’m more interested in the upcoming Festivale. I can’t wait to finally meet Pavé!
